Famiglia Bianchi Malbec 2010: The 2010 Valentin Bianchi Malbec exhibits a deeper color and more depth and concentration than the Elsa cuvee. Notions of cedar, spice box, lavender, damp earth, and cherry cola inform the nose of this firm, savory, nicely proportioned Malbec that offers very good value. Drink it over the next 3-4 years. Score - 88. (Jay Miller, erobertparker.com, Dec. 2011) |

Fragrant aromas of mint/menthol, spice box, cherry cola, and assorted black fruits set the stage for a dense, rich, sweetly-fruited Malbec that offers outstanding value in a wine meant for drinking over the next 5-6 years. Finca El Origen Gran Reserva Malbec 2010: Despite having tons of oaky aromas of coconut and vanilla, it's delicious, balanced and rich, with a graphite element. The full but smooth tannins carry the thick berry and plum flavors, which help absorb the generous oak like a sponge. Drink now-2016. Score - 90. (Michael Schachner, Wine Enthusiast, Aug. 2012) |

Flechas De Los Andes Aguaribay Malbec 2010: Made by the Baron Edmond de Rothschild group who own Bordeaux's increasingly prestigious Château Clarke. Well-crafted Malbec with aromas of blackberry, new leather, vanilla bean and smoky oak. Dry and quite fruity with very good aroma replays on the palate. The finish is solid and fruit driven. Try it with grilled steaks, or meaty pasta dishes. (VINTAGES panel, April 2012) |

Flechas De Los Andes Gran Malbec 2009: Saturated ruby to the rim. Bright, complex aromas of blackberry, minerals, crushed rock, fruitcake and violet. Densely packed and impressively concentrated, with a solid spine of acids and tannins framing the black fruit, violet and bitter chocolate flavors and restraining the wine's sweetness. Finishes with suave tannins and lovely violet lift. Nicely balanced and long on personality. Score - 91. (Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar, March/April 2012) |

The palate is loaded with mineral, floral, spice and high-toned ripe fruit notes. Smooth tannins and good acidity, with a lingering finish.
