Thomas George Russian River Valley Estate Pinot Noir 2009: Moderately deep reddish-purple color in the glass. Glorious aromas of Bing cherries, black raspberries, spice and complimentary [sic] toasty oak make you want to hug the glass. Medium weight flavors of black cherry and cola with a touch of clove offer plenty of intensity, yet the wine remains light on its feet. Nicely balanced with impressive length on the finish. The epitome of Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. (William Gaffney, princeofpinot.com, Nov. 29, 2011) Tags: Pinot Noir, Red Wine, Wine |

Thompson Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2008: TASTING DATE: Blended of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7.5% Merlot and 7.5% Cabernet Franc, the 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon was matured in French oak barrels (50% new and 50% 1 year-old) for 15 months. Deep garnet-purple colored, it is profoundly scented of warm blackberries and mulberries interlaced with cinnamon stick, cumin seed, sandalwood and cloves plus touches of cedar and pot-pourri. Medium bodied, elegant and nicely balanced, it has medium-high acid and a medium-firm level of grainy tannins, finishing long with lingering notes of cinnamon and cloves. Drinking now, it should cellar to 2018. Score: 91 (Lisa Perrotti-Brown, erobertparker.com, Aug. 2011) Tags: Cabernet Sauvignon, Red Wine, Wine |

Thorn-Clarke Shotfire Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz 2010: Another winner and sensational, the 2010 Shotfire Cabernet Sauvignon-Shiraz is a blend of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon and 44% Shiraz. A whopper of a wine, it is deep ruby/purple and possesses loads of glycerin and full body along with stunning notes of wood spice, graphite, blackberry and pepper. Rich, chewy, and dense, in a typically bold, exuberant Aussie style, this is a wine to drink over the next 6-10 years. Score - 91. Thorn-Clarke Shotfire Shiraz 2010: Also outstanding, is the 2010 Shiraz Shotfire ... Dark ruby/purple, with notes of roasted coconut, graphite, damp earth, blackberry and cassis, this perfumed wine hits the palate with a thunderous richness from the glycerin and dense fruit. Quite sexy, stunning, with some structured tannin in the finish, this wine should drink well for another 5-7 years. Score - 90. Three Rivers River's Red 2009: A more focused River's Red than in recent vintages, the 2009 clicks on all cylinders. Initially it strikes you as a pleasantly fruity and forward blend, but in fact it's 74% Cabernet from a mix of A-level vineyards. It plays out well across a full midpalate, with mixed berries, cherries, hints of forest, earth, toast, juicy acids, fine-grained tannins and a lick of mocha in the finish. Special Designation: Best Buy. Score - 90. (Paul Gregutt, Wine Enthusiast, Dec. 15, 2011) Tags: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Sauvignon Blend, Red Wine, Wine |
