Rosado Cava is somewhat of a rarity, relying on red grapes with much lower yields than white, and certainly worth experiencing. This deep pink-coloured version delivers notes of redcurrant, lees, cranberry, apple and toast. The palate is dry, fresh and invigorating with a very good mousse, and great fruit with plum and lots of ripe berry notes shining through. The finish is long and fruity. An ideal, and colourful, way to kick off a late-summer barbecue. (VINTAGES panel, Nov. 2010)
