Tasting Note: There are still bargains to be found from the illustrious 2005 Bordeaux vintage like this one which is drinking wonderfully already. Lovely berry fruit and earthy aromas greet the nose and lead to a dry, medium full-bodied palate with a bright fruity core, crisp acidity and medium tannins. This is built for the dinner table (think roast beef or lamb), not for the trophy case. (VINTAGES panel, April 2011)
