Tasting Note: Umm ... ah ... well ... maybe I could say ... no that doesn't work ... umm ... oh I know: the 2009 Writer's Block was one of only 36 wines out of 1400 to win Double Gold at the 2011 Michelangelo International Wine Awards, a South African competition adjudicated by tasters from around the world. This offers dense black fruit, cassis and oak aromas. The palate is dry, chewy and fresh with lively acidity and follows nicely on the nose with some lovely black fruit notes. Very tasty. Enjoy with smoked duck or pulled pork. (VINTAGES panel, Feb. 2011) Tags: Pinotage, Red Wine, Wine
