Angulo Innocenti Cabernet Sauvignon 2010: The two wines from Angulo Innocenti are outstanding values. The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon features savory cassis and blackberry fruit, a smooth texture, and excellent length. It, too, is likely to provide pleasure through 2018+. Drink: 2011-2018. Score - 90. Antica Cabernet Sauvignon 2009: The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon comes across as a bit more reticent and inward next to the superb 2008, but it, too, is a gorgeous wine. Dark red fruit, licorice, smoke and tar are some of the nuances that flow from this layered, gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2009 was bottled just two months ago. It will almost certainly be even better in a few years' time. A mid-weight, gracious wine, the 2009 should drink well to age 20 or so. In 2009 the blend includes 1.5% Petit Verdot. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2029. Score - 92. (Antonio Galloni, erobertparker.com, Dec. 2011) Tags: Cabernet Sauvignon, Red Wine, Wine |

Arboleda Cabernet Sauvignon 2009: This admirable red is still on the young and tight side, but it delivers great regional and cabernet essence for the price. An attractive nose of sweet herbs, black olive, blackcurrant and spicy oak. Flavours of cassis and dark cherry, with a beefy, savoury note that balances the forward fruit. Smooth tannins and fresh acidity speak to Arboleda's unwavering attention to detail. Score - 88. (D.J. Kearney, wineaccess.ca, Aug. 22, 2011) Tags: Cabernet Sauvignon, Red Wine, Wine |
