Gosling's Family Reserve Old Rum

Description

Dark rum crafted in Bermuda and long-aged in barrel. Each bottle is hand-labelled and numbered. Nuanced aromas of holiday spice, dried fruit and chocolate lead to flavours of fruit, vanilla and oak, with molasses and smoke tones. The palate is rich and smooth with a hint of sweetness on a long, complex finish. Savour neat.

Tasting Notes

The bouquet changes dramatically within the 10-minute nosing period from a baked aroma to an earthy, spicy, woodsy aroma. The palate entry is smooth, intensely oaky, yet semisweet; at midpalate the sweetness picks up in the forms of honey and molasses.
