Description

Fogolar Wines is a product of Sault Ste. Marie native and Brock University CCOVI graduate Marc Pistor whose keen interest in cabernet franc has resulted in this refined yet substantial version from 2015. The vintage was very kind to cabernet franc producing many solid examples that are showing exceptionally well at present. Produced in Di Profio's cellars and sourced from the south end of Marc Picone's vineyard from well established 30+ year old vines. This initial incarnation shows very fine purity of red fruit along with crunchy forest floor and a light tannic grip. Elegant and notably balanced. Score - 92.
