This blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Syrah and 22% Cabernet Franc is made in the appassimento style, employing a portion of dried grapes to add oomph and depth before the wine is aged 18 months in a combo of French and American oak. Expect layers of dark fruit and spice, and pour with hearty meat dishes and stews.[The National Wine Awards of Canada did not include a tasting note.] Score - 90.
