I also tasted for the first time the Carmenere from the Gran Reserva range, the 2017 Carmenere Gran Reserva. It has herbal and very intense ripe berry aromas at the same time. 2017 was a warmer and riper vintage, and the wine is from vines at 600 meters in altitude. Sixty percent of the wine matured in American oak barrels for eight to ten months. It has some dusty tannins and a dry, serious finish. Drink date: 2020-2023. Score - 89.
