Description

This is a terrific blend of 60% grenache and 40% syrah, with one third aged four months in barriques and the rest in stainless steel. The result is a fine, full-bodied red that shows why the reds of Vinsobres won appellation status a few years ago. Look for rich flavours, with depth and breadth, that accentuate dark fruit and spiciness. The acid is fresh and clean and the tannins are drying and well integrated. It's drinking very well now and will easily hold to the mid-2020s. Score - 93. (rodphillipsonwine.com, undated)
