Description

Fermented in stainless steel, matured in demi-muids and old barriques for 18 months. Liquorice and a little hint of bitter roots and root beer. This has remarkable freshness and energy on the palate. It's powerful, but light on its feet like a boxer. It's deep and serious, but fresh and drinkable, really dynamic in style. Chante-Cigale seems to be going in an increasingly positive direction of late, with even their Cuvée Spéciale and their white accentuating drinkability and elegance. Drink date: 2018-2028.
