Description

MEG is a blend of 60% Malbec and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon from both vineyards, sourced from these two climatically varied vineyards. The wine is aged in French oak barriques for 16 months. Lovely bright floral vibrant dark fruit and damson aromas, black pepper too. Positively leaps out of the glass and fills you with joy. Fine firm tannins, elegantly made, with lovely crunchy fruit layers and well-integrated oak. A brilliant wine, spot on. The new Argentina in a glass. A bit over-effusive and spicy on the finish but it's young yet and will improve over time. Drinking window: 2019-2027. Score - 96. (Peter Richards, MW, decanter.com, Jan. 14, 2019)
