Description

I loved the subtly Mediterranean nose of the 2018 Caliza, a pure Monastrell from limestone-rich soils on the Casa Los Frailes property. It has a bright ruby color and a lively palate with freshness and very fine tannins. It's varietal and shows the soil and vintage character. This was my clear favorite from the 2018 'soil' bottlings.
