Description

From a warm and sun-soaked vintage, the 2015 Etna Rosso Guardiola (made with 100% Nerello Mascalese) shows lots of fruit richness with black currant, dried cherry and dark plum. This is a wine of substantial fiber and succulence. The mouthfeel is layered and rich with softly integrated tannins and firm structure at the back. The fruit is concentrated and dense. One reason is because it is harvested from precious 120-year-old vines. Drink date: 2018-2035. Score - 94. (Monica Larner, robertparker.com, Dec. 28, 2018)
