Description

Leading off the whites is the 2016 Chateauneuf du Pape Le Clef de St Thomas Blanc, which is 50% Roussanne, 20% each Bourboulenc and Clairette and 10% Grenache Blanc. A portion of the wine is fermented and aged in barrel, leading to a honeyed, toasted-nut quality, ample weight and a creamy texture. Mandarin oranges and lime zest provide plenty of fruit, while the finish is long and briny. Bravo! Drink date: 2017-2027. Score - 94. (Joe Czerwinski, robertparker.com, Oct. 31, 2017)
