Description

By my count this is Ann Sperling's sixth orange wine at Southbrook and after all this time it needs reminding that she is the pioneer for this type of skin-contact work in Ontario. More than a credible vintage for using vidal to this purpose with more phenolic development and kept acidity than some earlier versions. Does not really stray from the company line, meaning texture is omnipotent and saliva inducing citrus counts for everything. Lemon and grapefruit namely, but then the tisane of rooibos, hibiscus and melted beeswax straight in. Always an engaging orange wine. Drink 2020-2023. Score - 90.
