Michel Gassier Lou Coucardié Blanc 2018

Description

A long-time favourite with Classics customers, this organic wine from superstar vintner Michel Gassier is sourced from vines grown in sandy limestone and chalk. The fruit is picked and sorted by hand and pressed in the absence of oxygen (with no added sulphur dioxide) to preserve the natural acidity, whereupon it's fermented with native yeasts and treated to partial malolactic conversion before ageing nine months on the lees. Expect exquisite elegance and ripe, peachy decadence in equal measure.
