Nova Bric De Maschi Barbera D'Alba Superiore 2007: Here's a very successful expression of Barbera from the Alba zone of Piedmont with bright fruit tones followed by smooth spice, chocolate and tobacco. Demarie Barbera D'Alba Superiore 2007: Pretty, very approachable Barbera with aromas of blackberry, raspberry, a hint of blueberry and a touch of vanilla. Dry and rather fruity with a touch of acidity to give the whole package some lift. A bit of age gives it added complexity so it is ready to drink now with grilled lamb chops.
