A To Z Wineworks Pinot Noir 2011: The nose is really fun on this one throwing in citrus notes among the sour cherry, plum and spice aromas. The palate offers great structure and balance and some firm grippy tannins, particularly on the finish. The close is long with tangy fruit and spice. Simply a great wine from beginning to end, and one that provides an excellent foundation for Oregon Pinot. (VINTAGES panel, Aug. 2012) Tags: Pinot Noir, Red Wine, Wine |

Acacia Pinot Noir 2011: Intriguing aromas of wild blueberry, sour cherry, plum, baking spices and sandalwood. Ripe, fleshy and fruity Pinot with good concentration and a nice fresh lift on the finish. Youthful tannins suggest it will evolve nicely in cellar for 1-2 years, and drink for 5 beyond that; if enjoying tonight, try it with blackened lamb in a red wine sauce. Alamos Selecci?n Pinot Noir 2010: Warm-climate Pinot with aromas of plum, raspberry and spice cupboard. Dry and quite intensely fruity with good mouthfeel and a pretty spice infusion on the late palate. A terrific red for a multitude of fish dishes. Albert Bichot Clos Prieur Gevrey-Chambertin 2010: A deft touch of wood sets off a cool and reserved dark berry fruit nose that possesses fine breadth. There is equally good complexity to the round, delicious and velvety medium-bodied flavors that are shaped by moderately firm and ripe tannins, all wrapped in a balanced finish. A fine villages. Drink: 2015+ Score - 88-91. (Allen Meadows, burghound.com, Jan. 10, 2012) Tags: Pinot Noir, Red Wine, Wine |

Albert Morot Beaune Bressandes 1er Cru 2006: Relative to its performance from barrel, this has gone from reticent to expressive with very fresh aromas of black raspberry and underbrush hints that are also reflected by the rich, delicious, intense and subtly mineral-infused flavors that culminate in a balanced, sweet and impressively long finish. Classy juice where the only nit is a barely discernable hint of backend warmth. Outstanding. Drink: 2014+ Score - 91. (Allen Meadows, burghound.com, April 1, 2009) Tags: Pinot Noir, Red Wine, Wine |

Alex Gambal Clos Vougeot Grand Cru 2009: Ripe and juicy, with a muscular structure for supporting. Black cherry, black currant, spice and mineral flavors combine and this ends with a long, smoke- and iron-infused finish. Best from 2015 through 2035. Score - 94.
