Description

A rustic, deeply pigmented Portuguese red that is made from the indigenous baga grape. Forward, earth-tinged aromas of smoke, coffee and prune with spicy/licorice and toast tones. Shows a firm palate that is redolent of smoke and prune, spice and toast flavours. Medium long, earthy, dried fruit finish.

Shows a firm palate that is redolent of ripe dark berry, dusty plum, spice and herbal flavours. Medium long, earthy, dried fruit finish.

Serving Suggestion

Serve this gutsy red with all kinds of grilled or roast meats. Traditionally paired to roast suckling pig, but also great with sausage or ribs.
